The Ask :

Deliver a complex structural steel solution for a new aquatic facility featuring a pool area with long-span, architecturally distinctive trusses.

The Problem :

The project required eleven triangular-shaped trusses, each weighing 13 tons and spanning 104 feet (32 meters). Constructed from round hollow structural sections, the trusses posed challenges in sourcing, fabrication, and transportation. The original design included proprietary splice assemblies which would have been costly, complex and would squeeze delivery timelines.

Sourcing and manufacturing chord members as single-piece units which eliminated the need for expensive proprietary splice assemblies and improved structural integrity and aesthetic continuity.
Fabricating trusses with precision to meet architectural and structural requirements.
Applying a durable 3-coat epoxy paint system to all components prior to shipment.
Coordinating end-to-end logistics, ensuring timely and secure delivery of the massive trusses to the construction site.
